Confirmed. Had to kill Minecraft with task manager.

Just not long went to The End to start making ender farm in Survival and can confirm also that it freezes the world and forces you to restart server

Was unable to recreate a permanent hang or crash. However after killing a few endermen, each enderman would register a hit, take no damage, and begin screaming. Each enderman hit after this would scream. Falling into the void would not cause death while this is happening. After about 2-3min the world unfroze and operated as normal including killing the player that fell into the void.

My server had a very powerful endermanfarm that has worked just fine in earlier versions. Now the server freezes as soon as anyone enters The End. It isn't even necessary to hit any endermen. I turned to peaceful after restart and before one of the frozen test persons logged in and he could get out of the end. Another test person wasn't as lucky. The only way to get him out was to delete The End. We have had a very bumpy ride with 14w03b with a lot of crashes and a lot of freezes and the strangest error messages that I've never seen before. The freezes are so long that the server is unobtainable and it doesn't resolve itself, CPU spikes like crazy and doesn't go down. Players seem to be online when they are in fact kicked out with a timeout message. After deleting The End it seems to have been running smoothly for the longest time so far since the update. Hopefully the problem will be able to be recreated and identified. Oh, and the world wasn't new, it's been around since late snapshot stage for 1.7. Also it is a 4GB ram server that mostly has up to five and never more than twenty players on at the same time.

I'm also having this exact issues. But it goes beyond just hitting them. For me even if they take fall damage from a Enderman farm my game becomes completely unresponsive to point of having to be killed via task manager or I'm unable to leave the end and access any chests including Ender Chests.

Confirmed to happen if "/kill @e{type=enderman}" command is used. (had to use curly braces instead of brackets on the command but same idea)

This either doesn't happen in the Overworld, or only happens with large amounts of Endermen. When hitting and killing Endermen in the Overworld, no freezes occured.

I was able to do this several times, the world just stops playing normally and you can't interact with anything. It happens when endermen take any damage at all, not just from a player.

I went into the end and placed a snow golem. Soon after, all of the mobs froze. I am still able to move about and break/place blocks, but when I Save and Quit and come back in, everything I have done is reversed. It has happened 5 consecutive times since the first.

Is true, I made an Endermans Farm and I had to use it in 1.7 because in the snapshot ocurred this
