[MC-48111] Blocking While Flying Speed Glitch

When I am on the ground, and I use a sword to block while moving forwards, I go very slow. If I start flying in creative while doing this, I go at the same speed, but when I am already flying and use a sword to block, I go slightly faster. Also, the same thing happens while sneaking.

The bug is that the player has a difference in speed when they block/sneak on the ground, and start flying while doing it, and blocking/sneaking while already flying. It is just barely noticeable, but I thought I would bring it to your attention.

Are you saying that the bug is that blocking while flying slows you down? Or something else? Your report isn't clear. Also, why is this marked as "Won't fix"?

This seems to be MC-75474 (which itself is to related to MC-48616), except with flying in creative mode rather than walking in water. The Won't Fix resolution (which was added by a mod rather than a Mojangster) was probably chosen since as stated above, there's no need to block in Creative mode.

Well, I don't think they are that same bug, if I am understanding the report correctly, this bug is that you slow down at all, not that the speeds are different. In any case, I don't think a bug should be marked as "Won't fix" unless Mojang specifically states that it won't be, even if there is no real reason to fix it.
