Played around with the world settings. I raised the ore heights, but more importantly, I had tweaked the Y noise of the level and enabled lava water bodies (and raised their frequency by a lot as well).
When I spawned in, I found a lava cave with invalid state lava. Also, there were a lot of lighting glitches in that very cave, however, I don't know if that is relevant. See screenshots.

If you find a cave near a natural ocean (I.e. Water in a beach biome), chances are that the water may not enter the cave, as long as the blocks don't move.
Generally, caves are less of a priority, hence why this happens.
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.

It's actually an invalid ravine spawn. Another example is in the seed -8008520871496131926 near spawn.
