Pigmen stay hostile after leaving area for long period of time

Pigmen in nether stay hostile even after despawning and respawning

Comments 6

This has happened to me in 14w28b as well. They are permanently hostile toward me (or whoever last hit them).

Is this still an issue in 14w30c ?

It is happening to me in 14w33c. They remain permanently aggravated. I saw a pack spawn and immediately become hostile with no other pigmen around. They are also targeting me and pathfinding from large distances well in excess of their usual aggro range. I'll think they're all gone – killed by a trap door so as to try not to provoke them more – then suddenly more will come from over the horizon.

Appears to still be an issue in 1.8-pre3... On my own server, difficulty 3, pigmen would aggro unprovoked. Tried setting difficulty 0 then wandered about to despawn all of them, went back to difficulty 3 and the first few pigmen to spawn immediately aggro'd.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.

Keep in mind that the "Resolved"-Status on this ticket just means "Answered", and that we are waiting for further information on whether this issue still exists or not. We will reopen it as soon as the requested information has been delivered.

Ticket resolved as incomplete, because no answer in a reasonable amount of time (1+ year), if it still happens, please update the ticket.
