[MC-59303] When placed next to a cactus, the head of bed remains same

When you place a bed next to a cactus, so that the foot of the bed is next to the cactus, the cactus and the feet of the bed will break however the head of the bed will remain. When you break that block nothing happens (the bed was dropped when placed next to the cactus)

The following is based on a decompiled version of Minecraft 1.9 using MCP 9.24 beta.

The reason for this is very likely that the method net.minecraft.item.ItemBed.onItemUse(ItemStack, EntityPlayer, World, BlockPos, EnumHand, EnumFacing, float, float, float) places each bad part with the flag 11 (causes a block update). This means the following happens:

Lower part of the bed is placed
Cactus is updated
Cactus is at invalid position and gets destroyed
Lower part of bed is updated, missing upper part causes bed to get destroyed
Upper part is placed

This could be fixed by placing both blocks without updating neighbouring blocks and then updating them, see the method net.minecraft.item.ItemDoor.placeDoor(World, BlockPos, EnumFacing, Block, boolean).

Note: Affects double plants as well. Just have a block that is at an invalid position which would drop the next time it receives an update next to the position where you place the double plant, see MC-105898.

Sorry, I described the new title probably not clear enough. Double plants are affected the same way beds are. When you have a block like described in MC-105898 and place a double plant next to it, the lower part gets destroyed but the upper part remains.
