[MC-62173] VBO reduces framerate

When I turn on VBO it actually reduces framerate by almost 20. I have 54 FPS when it's turned on and 73 when it's off. In both cases, no chunk updates occur.

nVidia GeForce GT520 with Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 and 2GB of RAM.

Same problem here with a Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 2gb.
I get around a 29% decrease in frames.

Similar to my issue, although in my case, VBO doesn't seem to have any effect at all.

FX 4170 with 16Gb RAM, Radeon HD 7770, Win 7, Java 7u60 (both 64 bit)
