This can be solved by going into the video options and turning off VBOs.

I got it to work. I had to use version 1.8.1 or earlier. I have no idea why but it works.

I played MC today, and it started installing windows updates, then it said this, I can only play 1.8.3 or lower now 😞
nvm reinstalling fixed it

This issue is not a duplicate of the graphics card issue. The message just always popped up after closing the game. It seems to be fixed now, though.

I removed it

• First open up your jvm arguments list

• then copy everything and create a backup

• then go front and remove it from (-x) to (mode)

• remember to leave space because i forgot and it didn't work

• then go ahead ahead and run it again
  It Should work smoothly like a smooth sandstone

@@unknown I don't think this can crash your client, so you probably have another problem which stops you from playing.

My friend says that when he runs minecraft it crashes and the crash report says this incremental cms is deprecat...... ..

This issue contains a crash report with a crash of a video driver. Below the crash report in the comments appears also the message Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: Using incremental CMS is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release.
This message has nothing to do with the graphics card issue and therefore the issue title is wrong. The message just always appeared after minecraft closed. For some reason it does not anymore (for me at least), however Minecraft still uses incremental CMS (see default JVM-arguments: XX:+CMSIncrementalMode).
This could actually become a problem when Java 9 comes out, as it removes support for incremental CMS completely, see JDK 9 release notes and Bug JDK-8044022.

I suggest we change this issue's title and create a new issue for the incremental CMS problem.

EDIT: I just verified the game crashes under Java 9 with XX:+CMSIncrementalMode

Also, I just noticed not even the error report of this issue corresponds to the description!
