[MC-71709] Screen goes black and computer freezes after pushing play on Minecraft 1.5.3

After pushing play on Minecraft Launcher 1.5.3 the Mojang screen comes up then the whole screen goes black and only the curser is seen. Not able to get out of the black screen at all. Computer is sort of frozen but you can hear the minecraft music.
What was expected to happen is the game screen should come up and can start playing the game.

Please attach the complete output of the "Game Output (Your Minecraft name) " which can be found on the fourth tab of the launcher.

If the launcher closes after game start, please edit your profile and select "Launcher visibility" then, "Keep the launcher open".

I have selected "launcher visibility" and "keep the launcher open" But it doesn't help.
After pushing the play button on the window Minecraft 1.5.3 a new window opens that is all white with the Mojong slogan only. Then when the game should show up on the screen, after about 15 seconds, the whole screen on the computer goes black and you can see and move the curser, but it doesn't respond to anything. Have to shut the computer down with the main button.

You don't have to shut down your computer, just kill the hanging Minecraft process.

How do you do that? Nothing responds on the computer. There is nothing but black on the screen.

If you have a cursor in the black screen, Ctrl+Alt+Delete then Task Manager then add task explorer.exe, This may be the Play button causing the black screen of death.

EDIT: oh, i didnt see that this happens in Mac OS. what i was saying was for Windows. Sorry :/
