If you trow a lingering potion in fire/lava it sees the particals as something to put on fire, so i creates a big fire outa nowhere

Happened to me too. Using normal a normal flint and steel to try and light it does not seem to replicate the effect.
Can we keep this? I so want lingering potions to act as a flammable material that can set other entities on fire at that radius. Maybe a bit OP, but a really freakin' cool mechanic.
This isn't a mechanic people. Area effect clouds are by their base very large entities, which is why they catch on fire. Look at spiders.
It happened to me too, it might happen because the lingering potion effect is an entity. The fire slowly shrinks, so its pretty funny.
