Can you please tell us the commands you used to replicate this issue?

Confirmed for 15w36d. Type

/summon ArmorStand ~ ~1 ~ {Equipment:[{},{},{},{},{id:"minecraft:diamond_helmet"}]}

No equipment will render on the Armor Stand.
