This is not MC-84562 as that bug is about the fact that you cannot controll a pig if you did not show it the carrot on a stick before. This report is however about the fact that you cannot controll a pig at all.
When you ride a pig and hold a carrot on a stick, the pig will just look up at some point of time (when it would normally move) but does not move at all.

As a side note:
If you descend from the Pig and hold the carrot on a stick before it, it will follow you, it just doesn't work while riding the Pig.

No, this is about not being able to control a pig. It is unknown if they load chunks as no one could ride them out to unloaded chunks.
Err... Kumassa, if you were making changes based on Kieran's comment and not on your own testing, he said it was fixed in 05b!
MC-89924 IS about not being able to control pigs at all. This is a dupe.
