Chicken jockeys spawning without the zombie / invisible zombie

Please provide a crash report (hold down F3+c) if this happens again.

It appears that the zombie did not correctly mount the chicken (should have spawned as a chicken jockey), but the chicken was still set to think it was ridden by a zombie. Due to the way that mob stacks work, the 'ridden' chicken must take on zombie AI separately from the zombie itself. So the bug here is: chicken jockeys spawning with the zombie not riding the chicken.

Sorry, got confused with something else. I suspect that as the chicken was damaging the player this is an invisible baby zombie. I guess not all the invisible entity bugs were fixed.

Yes, but my game (or the server) did not crash. I can try and find the log files if that's what you want.

Most probably not.
The logfile didn't show anything.

We need steps to reproduce or a zipped world file.

Since it was a random occurence, I would have no steps to replicate it.

This is still happening. I can hear the baby zombie groaning, and the chicken runs at me, but the zombie is invisible. When I kill the chicken, the zombie evidently is killed too. I'm using 15w43c.

I just had this happen to me in a new world using 15w44b. Same thing: Can hear the baby zombie, chicken agro as if controlled by a baby zombie, but can see no baby zombie. Killing the chicken also seems to eliminate the baby zombie.

Confirmed for 45a. Saw chicken in nether. It moved faster than a normal chicken could, so it is definitely this issue and not just a de-spawned rider.

Happened again in 15w46a (did not have fraps open to record it again).

I have a chicken with an invisible jockey that I tried to cure hoping it was a zombie villager. It makes zombie and chicken noises, and the particle effects are coming from above the chicken, but I couldn't feed it a golden apple.

Edit: How odd. When I killed it from above, the chicken died with both a chicken and zombie death sound, and there was no zombie running around, invisible or otherwise. With the new broad swing from the sword, I can't be sure I wasn't doing damage to both, if there were actually two, but if that were the case, I would have expected the chicken to die first and leave the zombie behind.

Just saw a baby pigman on a chicken in 16w02a. First chicken with a visible rider I've seen in quite a while.

Just had one rampaging through my village last night (16w03a). The console spammed a bunch of similar lines:

Environment is where you put details about your OS, Hardware, Java Version, and Minecraft Launcher, not where you put details about the location or setting of where you are in your world.

Still an issue in 16w05b:

After teleporting to these coordinates (I was in the nether) I found a chicken with an invisible baby pigman riding it (see 2016-02-09_16.33.47.png). When the chicken ran under a low roof, the baby pigman took suffocation damage.

I triggered a manual crash, see crash-2016-02-09_16.35.01-client.txt

According to MC-97321 the zombie does spawn, it just freezes
