I slept to pass the night by, and woke up to a skeleton that wouldn't take damage or obey gravity. This happened before in release 1.4, but the mobs obeyed gravity that time.

Does this occur with other mobs too, or only skeletons? Skeletons sometimes spawn without an AI as described in MC-91290.
