Receiving Mining Fatigue from an Elder Guardian Permanently Causes all Status Effects to be removed on re-application of Mining Fatigue

What Happened:
I drank milk while under mining fatigue given by an Elder Guardian. This worked as expected (It removed the status effect) But now when I receive mining fatigue again it is immediately removed AND any other status effect I have. This results in the mining status effect appearing for a brief moment in my inventory screen and then disappearing along with any other effects I have...like water breathing etc.

Death and Server Restarts are not fixing this...it is for all intents permanent. I am actually the account holder/OP of the Realms trial server this issue has afflicted, so an interested Mojang party is welcome to login / look at my player data to help troubleshoot this issue. The trial server is on my account (russec) and is on my particular player.

I see this was reported in some form before and closed as Unable to repro: MC-79778

Thanks for considering taking a 2nd crack at debugging this one. It's a real curse actually.

I did some further testing. Using /effect to give myself mining fatigue produces the same bug. So it need not be re-applied by the elder guardian specifically.

Does this also happen to other players as well?

I was just notified by a 2nd player on my Realms that he is experiencing the same issue. Mining Fatigue now erases all status effects when applied. Although he first received fatigue from Eldar Guardians at the same monument as I did, he never drank milk. So it leads me to believe there is no causality with milk and fatigue.

More so, 2 other players went to the monument and received fatigue and they are not having this issue. Status effects work as expected. So it's hard for me to say what correlations there are between myself and the other player that has this bug. Seems the repro conditions are probably more specific.

MARK RESOLVED

I would like to apologize. After a bunch of frustrating testing and back and forth with local I finally discovered it was command blocks placed in 1.7 that were causing the bug on the server for myself and the other player due to a combination of scoreboard and effects conflicting. This is in fact not a bug except for my own doing.

Thanks,

Russell
