Unable to login to the launcher without internet connection, despite a successful login while connected.
What I expected to happen:
After a successful login while connected to the internet, I expect opening the launcher without internet to show Play Offline as opposed to Play.
What actually happened:
Despite a successful login, opening the launcher without internet connection shows the login screen. "You are already signed in as <username>." Clicking on the button next to that does not proceed to the News Update screen-- instead, it forces me to login.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Run the launcher with internet connection. Ensure all login credentials are correct and click Play
2. Close and reopen the launcher without internet connection
3. Click on Play on the username login screen

I'm experiencing this issue as well. Windows 7/Java 7. It worked fine on my Wednesday commute using the previous version of the launcher. Made for a very boring commute this morning.
@Joi Ellis:
Yep, same specs on my side Win7 + Java 7u25 (both 64bit) ...

ditto.
I also confirm that Offline Play ONLY works when disconnecting from the internet AFTER a succesful login, in the SAME session.
This bug makes LAN play really difficult and annoying 😞
Hope this might help. Proxy is confusing the launcher:

Exactly this happens on my side too. An obvious, very ugly bug.
