New Launcher (Linux ELF) is not portable to BSD

As a the launcher is only released as linux elf (binary blob) it is not compatible with other kernels than windows/macos/linux, such as BSD.
As the legacy java version is reaching end of support, this will mean the end of support for non-supported java platforms, like OpenBSD/FreeBSD and others

I also interested in this question!

I have three licensed accounts of the game.

I want to run it on FreeBSD 13, but it turned out that the game isn't supported my OS!

Please open the sources of the launcher or build it for all *BSD platforms.

I'm a programmer that can help to port it, but I have no sources.

MultiMC has been ported to OpenBSD as of 6.9 and can be used to run the game (through 1.16.x at least).

The bigger barrier was that LWJGL3 had dropped BSD support. I ported that to OpenBSD (and I think others have done so for FreeBSD, but am not certain).

So, one cannot run the official Mojang launcher, but one can run Minecraft on OpenBSD. (You'll need to run at least 6.9-current for the 1.17 release because of the switch to Java 16 for that release).

Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
