I keep getting "Oh no! Something went wrong and we couldn't connect to the Minecraft services" (it is also asking me to buy the game) when the old launcher is working perfectly fine. (try again does not work, neither does a PC restart)

Duplicate of MCL-19840
I don't think this is a duplicate of MCL-19840, that bug is about issues logging in. I have no issues logging in, but once logged in the error "Oh no! Something went wrong and we couldn't connect to the Minecraft services" shows at the bottom of the screen and only demos are available to play. I also have no issues using the old launcher with my migrated account.
