For a few days now, when i try to play minecraft the launcher gives me the "couldn't connect to minecraft services" error message and the button says "Play demo" rather than "Play", making me play only the demo world.
Restarting my pc didn't help, and relogging in the launcher also didn't help.
I haven't seen anyone else put a ticket for this, but i hope i'm not the only one having this issue.
IMPORTANT: the launcher version i have isn't listed, please check the images uploaded
Update: tried reinstalling the launcher and now i can't even open it, i have an error saying that the core file's missing (image below)

Hey @turbo, i followed your instructions carefully and everything got worse. After i re-installed the launcher, it tells me it's damaged, so now i can't even open the launcher with an error saying that the launcher's core file is missing, i'll upload another image with the error in a few
Hi, please follow the workaround from MCL-22317.
Unfortunately, i keep getting the same error. I tried repairing and restarting my pc, but to no avail
I think i'm just gonna wait to get a new pc and try installing the launcher again on a different Windows version to see if anything changes, thank you for your help anyway

I do not know about Fredeico, but I have tried all that you suggested before, but still did not work. Got the same errors as Frederico.
The only thing is, that I'm on Windows7, and therefore, no newer update.
I believe Frederico is on Win7 too, since my game works just fine on Win10.
@Zgajak i also tried that before asking for help, and it didn't work. I tried to update my OS but the download failed and updating java also didn't help. I'm afraid i have to change pc entirely...
@Frederico I am 90% sure that you PC is just fine for running minecraft the way it is now. You just need to install win10 on it, and it would run fine.
My issue is, why are they banning win7 user to use the game at all? I am running modded MC 1.7, and it was running flawless. Only the launcher is messed up now.
Please Microsoft, repair the launcher so it runs on Windows 7 as it used to.

Have you tried to install Launcher from the minecraft.net website/MS store?
Have you tried signing out of all your Windows Apps, and the signing in again?
Is your Windows and associated apps (Xbox app, MS store) up-to-date (check for updates regardless)?
Please also uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion) and then reinstall, restart your computer. Then please try to boot the Launcher.
