[Linux] Can't edit versions in Minecraft Launcher

Can you please upload launcher_log file from .minecraft folder?
Does this issue occur on Vanilla Launcher?

For this, uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion) and then reinstall, restart your computer. Then please try to boot the Launcher.

As said, could you:

• Uninstall the launcher

• Delete your Minecraft folder found in ~/.minecraft. (BACKUP YOUR .minecraft/saves)

• Install the launcher

You claim that the issue occurs on the Vanilla Launcher, however there are modded Java versions present in your launcher_log file and also on the video you provided. 

As mentioned before, please uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion) and then reinstall, restart your computer. Then please try to boot the Launcher.
