New install of MC Game Launcher 1.21.10. When launching Java, the game dialog displays version 1.21.9, progress bar stops about 10 percent in and the window freezes with (Not Responding). This issue occurs at all times:
Whether the Open Output log when Minecraft: Java Edition starts configuration checkbox is active or not.
Whether the Play button is selected for the default installation (1.21.9) or the proper version is selected from the dropdown, 1.21.10.
Tried troubleshooting steps from other tickets. Scanned for malware and viruses and found none. Uninstalled Antivirus and Malware. There is no incompatible software installed on the PC (reviewed the list, https://minecrafthopper.net/help/known-incompatible-software/ ). NVIDIA Graphics software has been removed from Startup and all tasks have been ended. Increased memory for Java. There is no entry for _JAVA_OPTIONS in User or System Enviornment Variables. Also tried deleting 'launcher_profiles.json' in the C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft folder. This did not help.
I think the issue has to do with the Unifont changes, as the process times out every single time at this point in the log:
[Worker-Main-6/INFO]: Found unifont_jp_patch-16.0.03.hex, loading
Tried loading the 4 OTF files for unifont_jp_patch-16.0.03, but this did not resolve the issue. Unable to install the PSF file for unifont_jp_patch-16.0.03.
Just purchased this game for my son, and have spent over a day trying to get this to work. Tried this on 2 other laptops and the same issue occurred. Also tested on the Virtual Machine running Windows 7 where Minecraft used to work fine and it will no longer run on version 1.21.10.
Environment
Launcher for Windows 10.0 3.20.7, Bootstrap 2.2.2, UI 3.20.7, No third party licenses. Java version 8 Update 461. Hardware: Sony VAIO SVS151190X laptop, Windows 10 Pro v10.0.19045, Intel(R) Core i7-3612QM CPU @ 2.10GHz, 2101 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s), 12 GB RAM, 184 GB free on HD.
