Since Structure Blocks were pulled out from behind Experimental Gameplay, I've been wanting to use them for mapmaking. According to the Official Minecraft Wiki, I should be able to load a vanilla generated structure 9i.e. a Village house, a Jungle Pyramid, etc.) using a Structure Block. I cannot figure out how this actually works (or whether this works at all).
Steps to Reproduce:
1. In a Creative World, place a Structure Block, open the GUI, and set it to 'Load'
2. Attempt to try and type in a structure name using the <folder name>/<structure name> syntax from the wiki
3. For example, I should be able to type in "village/plains/houses/plains_medium_house_1"
Observed Results:
The GUI edits the Structure Name by a) adding the "namespace" mystructure: to the beginning, and b) truncating the name of the entered structure.
Note that the length of the name truncation is less characters than what would be needed to enter the structure <folder name>/<structure name> for most of the structures as they are listed on the wiki.
Expected Results:
The structure that I input should appear in the preview window of the GUI.
In the example above, I should get a plains_medium_house_1 to be able to drop into my creative world.
Also note that documentation and useful information on how Structure blocks work is woefully inadequate. It does not help that Structure Blocks seem to work differently from Java to Bedrock, which is easy to work around in most cases by not one where the exact file path and structure name is needed.

The functionality referred to in this report is only available in Java Edition as far as I know. The wiki is a community-created and community-managed resource and is not an official source for how the developers intend the game to work. It can be edited by anyone, and therefore it can be inaccurate and incomplete. I am not aware of any official statement from Mojang that structure blocks should be able to load default vanilla structures in Bedrock Edition. I would have resolved this report as an invalid feature request, but it has already been confirmed by another moderator, so it will have to wait for a Mojang response.
I would suggest, in the meantime, that you pursue this feature request through the Feedback Site.
Thank you for the responses. I honestly didn't know whether this was a "bug" or a "missing feature", and since the wiki seems to think that this can be done in Bedrock I went with "bug". I understand that the wiki isn't definitive, but in the absence of any official documentation it is the only thing we have to go on.
It would be nice to get some sort of official stance from the developers on whether this is possible in Bedrock Edition and I'm just not doing it right (or maybe that it is bugged and that there is a potential workaround). And if it's not in the game, whether it is an upcoming feature or something that is not going to be implemented on Bedrock Edition.
Upcoming Bedrock Beta 1.16.100.52 appears to be adding a /structure command that will allow us to save/load structures without structure blocks. I do not have access to Beta versions or I would verify this myself, but do any of the mods know whether this command will allow for the loading of naturally generated vanilla Minecraft structures such as village houses, jungle temples, etc.? If so, then that will potentially solve this issue.
Also, I attempted to add this as a suggestion through the feedback site, but it was never approved to be posted. I'm hoping that is a good sign that this is a feature that they are already implementing... fingers crossed
Working as intended unfortunately. 1.16.220 is here and still does not save to file, it saves to the World's database file.
@Silverbaer: that report has nothing to do with the issue reported here, and moreover it is outdated.
Thank you for your report!
However, this issue has been closed as Invalid.
This is more of a feature request or a suggestion than a bug with the game.
We're very keen to hear your ideas though, so please head over to the Minecraft Feedback Site where you can search and vote for existing topics, or add a new thread if necessary.

Can confirm, but on Nintendo Switch there's a 30 character limit in the text bar which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to type in the structure file itself.
