Can confirm that this bug is occurring on Kindle Fire devices running Android OS.  The bug is intermittent, but it is pretty persistent and recurring to the point of frustration.  It seems like the game thinks the button is much smaller than it actually is shown, so the intermittency may just be hitting the sweet spot where the button does register that it is being hit.

The likely cause of this is that the player is looking at their Global Resources and seeing that the Classic Texture Pack is not active, but the pack is probably active under the Resource Packs within the world they are trying to open.  This gives the illusion that the pack won't deactivate, when in reality the player just has it inadvertently turned on and doesn't know it (mostly because people don't know to look there).

To check this, hit the edit icon next to the name of the world you are having issues with, then scroll down to the Resource Packs button.  Click the 'Active Packs' and then select the Classic Texture Pack and hit 'Deactivate'.

Yesterday I was updated to the 1.16.201 hotfix that has seemingly fixed this issue for us (both Kindle Fire and Windows 10 users).  Thanks.

This bug has resurfaced after the Windows Update KB4598242 was downloaded and installed yesterday.  I am running Window 10 and my sons run on Kindle Fire tablets.  They can see me in their Friends list when I am in a world and they can join normally, but I cannot see any of their worlds when they load them.  We are on the same network and nothing else has changed other than the windows update.  We've been running on 1.16.201 for a little while with no issues until just today.

Note that the last time I had this issue, it also coincided with a Window Update.

I've already implemented all the various fixes that are recommended by MCPE-36190 (such as having an open NAT, etc.).

As a workaround, you can use Ink Sacs in lieu of Black Dye to craft black dyed items.  On Bedrock Edition, you can use Bonemeal, Ink Sacs, and Lapiz Lazuli as dyes in recipes for Terracotta, Wool, or Concrete without needing to craft them into dyes first.

I can confirm that same thing.  I'm playing on Windows 10 using a Dell laptop with the same display adapter (Intel(R) HD Graphics 620).  When I start up the game it says that my Display Adapter needs to be updated, but whenever I try to update it Windows says that I have the latest one.

I came here to report the same issue, also on 1.16.100 on Windows 10 Version.

It happens when they go to sleep, some villagers start to phase sideways 4-5 blocks, then they stop briefly before doing it again over and over.  Some only seem to phase once.  It does not affect all villagers, but it seems to be consistent with the same villagers each night.

I double checked and each villager's bed is sufficiently unobstructed so that there should be no issue getting in/out of their beds.  There was no issue prior to 1.16.100.

From what I can tell, the villagers return their normal place once they wake up.

Upcoming Bedrock Beta 1.16.100.52 appears to be adding a /structure command that will allow us to save/load structures without structure blocks.  I do not have access to Beta versions or I would verify this myself, but do any of the mods know whether this command will allow for the loading of naturally generated vanilla Minecraft structures such as village houses, jungle temples, etc.?  If so, then that will potentially solve this issue.

Also, I attempted to add this as a suggestion through the feedback site, but it was never approved to be posted.  I'm hoping that is a good sign that this is a feature that they are already implementing... fingers crossed

@ Iaroslav Vlasiuk - I don't know if that question was directed at me or not, but yes I am connected via wi-fi.

I would double check to make sure that you are logged into your X-Box Live account.  The only time that I was not able to get achievements was because I had been logged out of my X-Box account for some inexplicable reason.

An un-numbered update pushed through yesterday that has seemingly fixed this issue for me.  I hope that others that were having LAN connection issues have had them resolved.

Thank you for the responses.  I honestly didn't know whether this was a "bug" or a "missing feature", and since the wiki seems to think that this can be done in Bedrock I went with "bug".  I understand that the wiki isn't definitive, but in the absence of any official documentation it is the only thing we have to go on.

It would be nice to get some sort of official stance from the developers on whether this is possible in Bedrock Edition and I'm just not doing it right (or maybe that it is bugged and that there is a potential workaround).  And if it's not in the game, whether it is an upcoming feature or something that is not going to be implemented on Bedrock Edition.

So further update, I've opened up all my security settings to the lowest that they can go on the router, and it seems that I can get it so that I can now see and join games hosted on Android devices (in this case, Kindle Fire) on the same LAN from my Windows 10 laptop.  But, they still cannot see games I host on my Windows 10 laptop (i.e. I open up a world on my Windows 10 laptop, and any Android device users cannot see the game in their Friends screen even though we are on the same LAN).

I have had no issue with connecting to LAN games until 1.16.40.

I play on Windows 10 and my sons play on Kindle Fire devices.  As our devices updated to 1.16.40, the ability to see each other's worlds over LAN has disappeared.  These issues were not present when we were playing in 1.16.20.

I have tried every possible fix that I have seen online and nothing seems to work.  Right now, it doesn't matter who is hosting the world we want to play in, the Friends list is empty.  The issue did not go away with the 1.16.40 hotfix.
