So I'm currently making a parkour map. The last thing I did was break a floating command block that had no command in it. I then exited the world by pressing the Save and Quit button. From that point on, I haven't been able to join the world. It's just stuck on the Generating World screen. It's not frozen because the game facts/tips still change.
I know this was a big issue during 1.12, but when people experienced this problem in 1.12, this problem would always occur after they entered/exited the Nether or End. I have not entered or exited the End or Nether yet in the world.
Attached to this is the game file if anyone needs to see it. I tried copying the file and importing that into Minecraft, and it still didn't work. I really want this problem fixed because I spent a lot of time on this world that I won't get back.
The world isn't using any resource/behavior packs. There's no mods or addons. Other worlds work just fine, just this one is the weird one.
Here is a video showing what I'm talking about: https://youtu.be/kMZaOMyVqo4
(The video was more than 10 mb, so I had to upload it to YouTube.)

I have this issue currently too, try uninstalling and re installing minecraft

Confirmed in 1.16.100, Windows 10 PC. I imported the attached world save and tried to open it, and got stuck on "generating world" with a full green loading bar.

I also imported your world, and you can get your world back as follows:
Using a third-party editor, locate your ~local_player settings.
Expand the Pos key.
Expand the Z key.
Change the value to 8.
Save your changes and exit.
There may be an alternative method if you don't want to use a world editor. I notice that you have a lot of other players who have joined over the network. Although it looks like the world hasn't finished loading, in truth it has, and if they were to join it would look and behave completely normal to them. Furthermore, if one of them has Operator permissions, they could teleport you to a safe location, and then you might be able to open it normally the next time you tried.
It appears that the last time you saved the world, you were suspended over the void. You were probably in flying mode at the time, but I suspect the problem is that when you load the world, you are falling into the void before the world has finished loading and your character is fully activated. I believe this is the same problem as has been reported previously with very different conditions prevailing at the time, likely including the earlier bugs you suggested were related. What they have in common is that the issues always occur during world load, because the game has tried to find a safe block to spawn the player on but its algorithm fails to do so, and the actual player can't tell this is happening because the world doesn't begin to be rendered (for them) until their character is finished spawning.

I have encountered worlds that get stuck loading quite a bit since 1.16.101.
I have several iPads and iphones and although it has happened at least once on all models, I find the issue most commonly happens on my iPad Pro and iPhone 7+, all running iOS 14.1 or 14.2, and it occurs after switching apps. My iPad Air 2s don’t encounter this as much, though it has happened.
My case usually happens when I switch to settings to connect my Bluetooth headphones then switch back to Minecraft.
Rebooting my iPad gives me one reliable world load, without fail. If it hangs, it will eventually load after between 10 and 15 minutes.
I have tried joining multiplayer through other devices and doing things like punching the host player or opening chests (as I have seen reported by some) but have found that none of that actually helps in my case, and it is just coincidence that the world has been loading long enough to become un-hung.

@Amber Baker: thank you for the detail you've provided. I think what you're describing fits MCPE-106349 better than this report, since @unknown above traced the issue reported here to the player's logout position in a particular world. I will copy your comment over. You may wish to follow that report.
