I was flying on elytra at high speed and tried to eat chorus fruit to land directly (was using locator map so i only needed to know the cursor w.o having to search up the area),
But i was shocked when i received full damage like i was falling from like 200 blocks high eventhough Chorus fruit was supposed to 'teleport you safely on the ground no matter the height'
And to my surprise it was because my character landed on a tree and im pretty positive about landing on leaves somehow doesnt count as 'safe' on the chorus fruit safe landing spectrum, which shouldnt have been the case tbh..
report goal- fix & allow landing on leaves when using chorus fruit Fall damage-free to make the item safer to use.

Probably because you maintain elytra momentum, I don't think that this is a bug

As of version 1.16.220.50, I am still experiencing fall damage after eating chorus fruit while flying but it seems to deal significantly less damage now.

Based on the previous comment this used to be related to or blocked by MCPE-105490. Now it is not caused by incorrect fall damage calculation.

Can confirm. Flying with an elytra and eating chorus has a pretty high chance of damaging/killing the player.
how to reproduce:
1. Start flying with an elytra, and no armor on.
2. Once you are about 50 blocks above the ground, eat a chorus fruit.
3. You will either teleport to the ground safely, or take damage/die.
4. Repeat as needed.
