Block placement is less reliable in general

In the previous beta, rapidly breaking and replacing a block with another was 100% reliable. Now, in most cases the new block does not result in being placed.

The place and hold functionality of placing blocks in a line is no longer consistent as well. It is unreliable and will stop placing blocks after around 8 of them despite place button being held down.

These issues make building a lot more tedious and frustrating.

The attached videos do not show any beta header information - if possible, could you please provide a video that shows the issue from the latest beta (1.16.210.56), and any specific steps to reproduce the problem?

Attached 4 more videos, 3 from the current beta (1.16.210.56) - None of the Experimental Toggles are used - and 1 from a previous beta where both block placing / breaking perfectly kept up with the player's speed.

Steps to Reproduce

  • While flying, try to place blocks in a straight line

Expected Results

  • The player would continuously place blocks for an indeterminate amount of time as block placing speed matches the player speed

Observed results

  • Block placing ceases after a few blocks placed

It has gotten way better, but only partially fixed. Placing blocks straight upwards while flying lasts a lot longer than the previous beta but still eventually get out of the player's reach and stops the placement. Placing blocks in a sideways line also is slightly better but still stops placement after just a few blocks.

Seems fixed in 1.16.210.59. Props to the devs for fixing it this quickly
