We are currently only tracking bugs here, not new features or improvements to existing features.

It seems to me like this would be a bug, since you get 3 signs for the same amount of material in PC and Xbox editions.

It is something wrong so it is a bug

Please do not assume that the differences in behaviors between the PC, Pocket Edition, XBOX, or Raspberry Pi editions of Minecraft are bugs.

Then it is a waste of wood to craft signs compared to PC edition

That annoyed me when making mob traps.
