My compass is no longer pointing to the original game spawn point and instead is pointing to some far-off overseas location. Only noticed when walking away from spawn point but compass was pointing in the direction i was facing.
Any ideas why?

That's where I mean. Where I was first placed in the world is just around the back of my house and the compass did always used to point there but now it doesn't and is pointing somewhere I've never been before.
UPDATE: Been over to new spawn point on creative and survival and it is a completely unremarkable point in the middle of the ocean where I've never been before.
Yes, it does. Previously didn't know which version I had so selected first in list. Have checked now and it is in fact v0.13.1
I have the same issue in v1.10.2 Minecraft (not PE) on Windows 8.1
With me, it's resetting to my original spawn point when I first created the world !
