So, my issue is on the lag in-game. I have my console updated to the most recent, as well as the game. I play on Nintendo Switch. The world right now is at 38.5 MB.
I've followed the article recommendation to close down the game and power off the console, then restart. This works briefly, but then the lag comes back. Everything was alright for a couple hours after receiving the Minecraft update this morning, but...after coming back into the game it's begun freezing on occasion and really becoming laggy and slow on keeping up with what's going on.
I could just be cutting down trees and it takes awhile to keep up with blocks being cut. This has happened since before the update as well.
I have tried turning down settings of render distance, turning down graphics and honestly a lot of the graphical settings are turned off. This did not help at all. No real changes occurred.
I have basically lowered the necessary graphics to minimum and still have an issue with lag.
The only extra I have in game is the Natural Texture Pack. So, I am not sure what or why.
I think this may be a bug that needs fixing.
Thank you for your help on this : )

Have you tried checking for corrupt data through the Switch settings menu?

Yes, no corrup data was found.
I did not know I could do this, I thank you for letting me know. I just tried it and got this result:

Does MCPE-111640 describe your issue?

I would say yes, it is similar. I've had the loading bar issue where, when the game slows down, or begins to lag, I try to open a chest or open the menu and you get the loading bar.
I'll add the game also freezes at times now while I'm constructing, adding blocks in a line of long succession

It is not an issue with the Switch, but the game itself. It was bad before but got much worse after 1.16.200. It’s to the point where I noticed my cousin’s 8-year-old iPad is running faster than one of the best performing handhelds out there. I’ve personally had it take minuets to load chunks, and if I open chests before they’re loaded the game crashes. Also happens during auto save and there is no option to turn that off.

Oh....gotcha. Yeah, wasn't doing it too much when I started playing last year, but it's gotten much worse.

Something similar has been happening to me where if I am on a server like The Hive I can't see anything besides entities like chests and other players. Then sometimes when I go to the pause menu it shows a loading bar and while the loading bar is there I can still move around but I can't interact with anything and my FPS is always 60 during the duration of the loading bar. It is even worse when I have a texture pack on.

Agreed, I have the exact same issue, and thats during regular game

I am going to resolve this ticket as a duplicate of MCPE-111640 and MCPE-109371. Both of those issues seem to mostly affect the Switch but some users report them on other platforms as well.
