This has so far affected every version since you moved to the renderdragon engine. Up until then it was buttery smooth even on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. I have just purchased a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ and it starts in a new or established world (doesn't matter) at 80-100fps and within 5-10 minutes it is struggling to maintain 50fps which is unacceptable for a high end device. It has a Snapdragon 865 5G+. It should be like silk but it absolutely is not. The device I might add is running at default settings, optimised for FPS at 75% resolution in the Samsung game tuner. Screenshots are in the order of 'just started' to 'played for 5 minutes'. I moved about 500 blocks to load more chunks. Render distance is 16 and is default. I have tried 12 and it makes little if no difference. Performance is severely affected around villages as well for some reason.Β

I have a similar problem. When I enter a village where 15-20 villagers FPS drops 3 times. Occurs only in a large village. I have an igloo world with 7 inhabitants, but the FPS is great. On the other world, there are approximately 15 inhabitants in the village, and the game is jerky. RAM 2 gigabytes. Android 9. Game version 1.16.221

I am having the same technical/gameplay issue with Minecraft. Any Minecraft update past the 1.16.100 update has extreme frame loss and lag (Any version that includes renderdragon). All versions .200, .210, and .220 are barely playable. In past updates, I would average about 100-300 fps in game. Ever since 1.16.200 though, I average 20-30 fps in game. I will attach videos comparing the two version's framerate. I am not sure why this happens and none of my other friends experience this much frame loss either. My PC is built to be a gaming desktop and can run much bigger games even better than latest Minecraft versions. I will also attach a link to where I bought my PC so you may see the specs. My Nvidia graphics drivers are all up to date.Β Β When playing on the latest version, my CPU is at max capacity (100% usage) and my GPU is at 0% usage.Β This does not make sense as my processer (AMD Ryzen 5 3600) is a pretty powerful CPU and can run other (bigger) games without reaching max capacity.Β I do not have anything extra running in the background.Β When I play on an older version (1.16.100) It averages only 20% CPU usage and never goes above 50%.
Good framerate on 1.16.100: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeY4iOHfdFc
Bad framerate on 1.16.210/200/220: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALU3LzXjiS8

I have an RTX computer and playing Minecraft bedrock without RTX even enabled I get 40fps and on Java I get 400fps

Absolutely agree! I experience 100% CPU and 100% GPU loading on my base and near but no lag far away from that

Is this still an issue in the latest version?

This is absolutely still an issue.
