Fast Clicking Mouse is no Faster than Holding Button

I was expecting that fast clicking the Left mouse button (attack) would be faster than simply holding the mouse button down.

For example, using a mob grinder, I would usually be able to fast click the mouse and make more hits per second, as opposed to holding it (on pc java version)

However on MCPE it doesn't matter whether I hold the Left mouse button or press it quickly, it still hits at the same rate, roughly once per second. (same if I hold or rapidly press X on keyboard)

Using the Right mouse button works correctly. It allows you to place blocks or use bonemeal as fast as you possibly can.

OK slight update to 0.14.0 with this: I can't even hold the attack button down now.

after one hit, I need to release the attack button and press again (similar to the continuous eating bug MCPE-13196)

Update: I've reported this separately at MCPE-14419.

Is this still happening?

When attacking multiple mobs this appears to be fixed as of version 1.0.6.0 beta.

However, this is still an issue when mining.

To reproduce: Use the command /effect @p haste 100 40, switch to /gamemode 0 (survival) and start to mine. You should be able to break blocks very quickly by holding down left click, however, it's not any faster than creative. (To compare, try the example commands in Java version)
