iPad pro smart connector keyboards are not recognized by mcpe
Edit by @unknown:
iPad Pro Smart Keyboard experiences severe limitation in what you can do with it.
You can:
Use it in the chat screen to type messages.
Use it in the chat screen to type commands.
You can't:
Control the game with it. That is, jumping, moving around, opening your inventory and such like are not possible with the keyboard. Keys you type are simply ignored by the game and don’t move the character
Edit by @unknown:
According to MCPE-20685 it also affects Kensington KeyFolio (bluetooth).
Still happening please fix this

@Michael We no longer assign tickets to developers; they check the tracker periodically. Just because there is no activity on the ticket doesn't mean that the developers aren't looking into it. Please be patient.
Why wont they fix this a lot of people have this problem. Also this affects all keyboards not just smart apple one.Unless you have some cable it does not work.Mojang plz respond because I don’t think anyone knows why.I know it is not hard to do because you added the settings for it and you added controller support so why not keyboards

Trying to work this out. When I open the Minecraft settings on my iPad Pro, there is an option for "Keyboard & Mouse" with a bunch of settings & keybind options in it, but I cannot get keyboards to work with Minecraft in the way the "Keyboard & Mouse" settings suggest (moving your character & inventory management etc, chat works fine)
My Keyboard Folio does not respond at all while inside Minecraft, with "Full Keyboard Gameplay" on or off.
My Logitech K480 is the same. So is a hardware keyboard plugged in using a USB-C hub.
I'm just trying to understand why there are settings for KB&M when Smart Connector, Bluetooth & USB keyboards do not work. Am I missing something or do the settings built into the game just not work? In which case, why are they there in the first place.
My thoughts are if there are no intentions for hardware keyboards to work, take the options out so people don't get disappointed. Why add settings for a feature, then not make the feature work.
