I just created a new survival world (experimental enabled) to test the latest beta. After I survived the first night and the sun rose, I noticed these dark patches under every tree. The light did not update properly.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a new world (seed: -876781979, experimental enabled)
Set the time to night
Skip the night using a bed
Fly around in creative. You will find trees with dark patches eventually.

Confirmed on 1.17.40.23 beta for Android.
Lighting can be normalized by breaking or placing blocks in the abnormally dark zones.
Screenshots attached.
[media][media][media][media]This was also reported in the mojira discord. Shadow updates poorly in 1.17.40.23.
However, I didn't notice the bad shadow update. Maybe you are using some kind of graphics settings or texture packs.

Thank you for your report!
