Worlds missing after 1.18.0.20/1.18.0.21 beta update.

List of worlds is missing after 1.18.0.20/1.18.0.21 update (not sure which one exactly) and new worlds are not found in the same storage folder as before: internal storage/games/com.mojang

Please fix this as soon as reasonably possible. Tried everything, force stop, cache/app data clear, reinstall with no results.

Side issues, minor:
Doesn't always keep Microsoft/Xbox login after closing app (last 2 years or so).
Sometimes (not often) doesn't load player defined skins (long time issue).

EDIT: 10/16/21 @ 02:23 CDT
Yes, the game was updated through the Play Store's beta brogram. I already mentioned reinstalling. Also, I don't seem to be able to access the contents of android/data. As far as the ADB logs, I'm not exactly sure how to access those as my knowledge of ADB is somewhat limited.

EDIT 2: @ 02:42 CDT
Issue resolved by using a PC connection and copying the entire com.mojang folder to android/data/com.mojang.minecraftpe/files/games, however this doesn't change the fact that for some reason MCPE no longer recognizes the games/com.mojang location as external storage.

Could you please let us know some more information:

  1. Did you update the game through the Play Store?

  2. Did you uninstall and reinstall the game?

Please note: We have this article available with steps to try and relocate your worlds https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4411299967629 which you might find useful.

Additionally, you might like to provide the ADB logs from your device, from when you start the game. (Please only do this if you are comfortable and familiar with using debugging tools, and please do not share anything here that might contain personal information.)

In my case I didn't update the game. Yesterday night it was working as intended and the next morning It behaved as if it was just installed and none of my worlds appeared. It could've updated in the background.

One thing I noted is that if I create a new world in beta in external storage it won't appear on the world folder in the file system. I suspect that it's being stored internally in the app.

1.18.0.21 bata I that this would not do this please git the next update with the fix of the world's and packs show up again!

Mine dissapeared too, but after searching I noticed that after updating & turning to the beta the worlds on the folder "games/minecraft/minecraftworlds" were not showed on external/app, so I moved them to "android/data/minecraft" & there was other minecraftworlds folder, I moved my worlds there &them appeared again!

It still working, it still doesn't appear my worlds in the latest beta version on 1.18.0.23

Just found a solution for this problem for Android try using zarchiver and go to Android > data > com.mojang.minecraftpe > files > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds and then try and moving it to games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds. Hope this helps

still not appearing in file manager the folder name "Game" doesn't show in 1.18.0.23

Yes I do experienced this. Basically, this bug vary on the version of the game. That's why before I update the game, I make sure I have a backup of the previous version and test the buggy area before concluding and delete the backup app.

I would suggest Minecraft to start a ftp server binding to 127.0.0.1:* (not 0.0.0.0:*) when starting game, so that external softwares could access the internal files through the network.
