The pointed dripstone interrupts the flow of water. In my opinion, the current water was to get through the pointed dripstones and not be interrupted.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a bucket of water.
2. Put the water on the ground (to create a flow of water).
3. Get a pointed dripstone and place it in the flow of water.
Observed Results:
The current of water will be interrupted by the pointed dripstone.
Expected Results:
The water should be able to pass through the pointed dripstone and continue the flow of water.

I sincerely hope it's not intentional, but if it is I hope they change it. It's really strange to explore a dripstone cave and come across a pointed dripstone stopping a water flow.

This will most likely be resolved by the WAI, since similar blocks also block the flow of water and MC-216694 was resolved as WAI (java report).

I believe this is intended as this is how it works on java, You have to manually waterlog the block.
