Spaces before the command prevent the command from being executed

Summary:

If you put a space before the command (before forward slash "/"), the list of commands will still be displayed, but the command after entering will simply be displayed in the chat, and will not be executed.
This does not match the ability to enter multiple spaces within a command (as shown in this video). And also java version.
This greatly affects the copying of commands from the Internet, since all the time you need to pay attention to the space before the command, so as not to accidentally copy it.
And also since the list of commands appears, but the command after successful input does not work, I believe that this is not intentional. Any other character before the command prevents the command list from being displayed.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Enter a space in the chat.

  2. Enter any command in the chat.

  3. Send (Enter key) the command for execution.

Observed results:

The command was displayed in the chat, but is not being executed.
At the same time, when entering a command, a list of available commands is displayed.

Expected results:

The command will be executed.

This is the same behavior described in MCPE-17091, which was resolved Works As Intended.

You are welcome to post on feedback.minecraft.net about the issue to request a re-evaluation.

I previously made a request in the modjira discord in #bedrock-requests, however Umija5895M said that MCPE-17091 is too old. Mega_Spud's comment in MCPE-17091 indicates that the report was resolved by misunderstanding. Also in MCPE-17091 in steps to reproduce (first step) it is indicated that you can enter "1" which is not a problem in current versions. Based on the above, I ask you to consider reopening my report. Thanks!

  1. I don't think Mega_Spud's comment on MCPE-17091 reflects any misunderstanding. Rather, I think he was just clarifying that something related was fixed while also stating that the reported behavior was working as intended. His first comment gives a reason why he expected it to be intended.

  2. The steps in MCPE-17091 do not indicate that you can enter "1". You are misreading. The phrase "1 or more" just means "any number of".

Reopening for review. I am not so sure about my point (1) in my previous comment, in retrospect. It may be that Mega_Spud's resolution message misunderstood the issue, or it may not. His first comment on the older report does seem like a good reason to think this is WAI.
