D-pad buttons get stuck until released

Update by @unknown
Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Press any button on the d-pad;

  2. Move your finger to press other buttons on the d-pad.

Observed Results:
All buttons stay pressed, as long as you don't remove your finger.

Expected Results:
Only the currently pressed buttons are active.

Notes:

Original Description:

I have swapped jumping and sneaking, and when I'm trying to sprint while I jump, it only lets me jump while sprinting the first time, but when I try again the jumping botton gets stuck and I can't jump while I run and it's really annoying because running and jumping are essential.

Also, this makes flying with the elytra incredibly hard, and makes walking in general really really wacky, is really annoying to play with this bug.

This started happening in 1.18.20.21, didn't happen in previous beta.

I do believe this issue is more widespread than just the jump button. I have noticed myself that the diagonal movement options became stuck leading to endless strafing until the arrow pad is released.

Yeah, the whole pad is really bugged and it makes even walking really annoying, hopefully it gets fixed soon, it's incredibly hard and frustrating to play.

Can confirm on my device, updated the summary to be more descriptive.

There may have been a misunderstanding. I have added steps to reproduce the issue which I didn't realize the ticket was missing until now.

Still happening in 1.18.20.25 Beta. I added a screen recording from my phone showing it happening. No additional resource or behavior packs as evidenced in the video. Also had the issue on my daughter's Kindle Fire with standard Steve skin and no additional packs.

Just for clarification, when I press left/right while moving I expect to strafe (move directly sideways and not forward) instead of drift like it does in the video.

Yep, this bug still happens in my device in 1.18.20.25 the latest beta with the same steps

One thing happens too:

What Happened

What I was doing

D-Pad was "freezed (still moving when I didn't pressed the button)" for some seconds

I released my finger from D-pad

Can confirm in 1.18.20.23 and 1.18.20.5

If pressing move and dragging to look any way then releasing hand from the moving button it still moves until lifting all fingers off the screen
