To reproduce:
1. Just light some tnt on the lava y-coordinate.
2. Now there should appear some not working lava source blocks in the air fi you exploded enough tnt.
Issue:
Lava is misbehaving when large quantities of tnt explode next to it. Instead of flowing away on all sides of the source block, it hovers midair.
Expected results:
The lava should hover in the air for a moment and then start flowing down on the 4 sides and the bottom of the source block.

@unknown: I was unable to reproduce the problem you mentioned. Maybe I did something wrong as you did. Please tell me how much dynamite you blew up? Was the lava in the screenshot placed by the player or naturally generated? Specify the lava seed in the screenshot.
I am not sure i think I place I have placed nine towers consisting of 40 TNT blocks. I placed these towers in sqaure where each tower was three blocks away from its neighbours. So in summary it had been 360 TNT blocks exploding in an area of 9x9x40 blocks. I light the TNT-pillars from the y-level 40 to the y-level 0. The lava was naturally generated. Hope this helped.
Also i am not a native speaker so there could be some grammatikally and spelling errors.

Also the problem could be that I play on a Realm with friends online with me. That's why in the combination with these facts and the fact that I am playing on Switch were the game often gets laggy some issues could happen but I am not sure. Also what is a lava seed?
The world seed would not be relevant for something like this.
This could be just a visual bug due to the client missing some updates, like can happen if you /fill a large area that contains many water sources. Is the lava still there when you reload the world? Does it flow upon reload?
I am realllly sorry for not responding for so long. Yes I the lava is gone now. But when you don't reloed the world and go into the lava you will burn.
