Overall Description:
Dripstones take too much time to fill up the cauldron below with lava when it is placed under a lava source. I am aware that this was once reported in Jan 2021 and fixed in a 1.16 beta, but the bug still appears as of Mar 2022 (1.18.12).
Steps to Reproduce:
Place a lava source on top of a floating block. Then place a pointed dripstone under the block.
Below the pointed dripstone, place a cauldron and keep the chunks with this set up simulated.
Expected Results:
The cauldron should have lava generated.
Actual Results:
I have kept the chunk simulated for tens of Minecraft days, but the cauldron has nothing for me.

I see that you changed the report to say cauldrons filling up is too slow, taking >10 Minecraft days. When I tested it filled up much faster than that. Can you attach a copy of the world, or at least a screenshot of the build where this occurs?
In the future, please in a comment instead of changing the report summary/description.
