For some reason, the black, brown, blue, and white dyes are no longer named their correct names, but instead named their old dyes' names.

I've found out the same problem too.
I might of reported it before you, but i'm not sure who did it first.
It's great that it says that it's resolved.🙂

Other comments, including "me too" comments like this one and discussions with other users, are off-topic and subject to removal. Also, please don't think of the bug tracker as a competition to see who can report a bug first. The ticket we choose for tracking is the earliest one that follows the guidelines, not necessarily the first one that was submitted.
Additional info: In
/giveand other commands/command blocks, you must use the proper name. For example, to get bone meal you must type/give @s bone_mealor to get brown dye you must type/give @s brown_dye. Although this gives you the desired item, the command output will show the name of the corresponding non-dye items.
