Bug
In the 1.19.60.23, campfires no longer apply fire to mobs and players standing on the campfire. However, due to this change, the campfire applies "normal" damage, instead of fire damage. This will result in experience orbs to not get killed (similar to how cactus cannot kill experience orbs: MCPE-101920) and mobs don't drop their cooked variants (if they have one)
Steps to reproduce with Experience Orbs
Steps to reproduce (experience orbs)
1. Open
[media]2. Throw a Bottle 'O Enchanting on the campfires
3. See what happens to the experience orbs
Expected results (experience orbs)
The experience orbs get killed
Observed results (experience orbs)
The experience orbs do not get killed
Steps to reproduce with Mobs that drop a cooked variant if killed by fire
Steps to reproduce (mobs dropping cooked loot)
1. Open
[media]2. Spawn a cow on the campfires
3. See what happens to the loot the cow drops
Expected results (mobs dropping cooked loot)
The cow drops cooked beef
Observed results (mobs dropping cooked loot)
The cow drops uncooked beef

This change seems very counter-intuitive (literal fire, not causing fire damage and instead normal damage). It also breaks farms that use campfire to clean up leftover xp. It does not seem to be a right approach for intended game mechanics.
This is working as intended, see MC-141939.
