Steps to reprduce
Have sound in Minecraft and volume up.
Open
Press the button.
Expected result
You do not hear the piston inside the wool because it is covered by wool.
Observed result
You hear the piston.
Wool dampens the noise for Skulk Sensors, but when I build redstone builds and encase them in wool, I can still very clearly hear the clicking noise from droppers. If noises from droppers, pistons, noteblocks, etc cannot be dampened, how am I supposed to greifproof my builds in multiplayer servers, as it would be very obvious that there is something there. Encasing something in two or 3 layers of obsidian won't stop someone with a diamond pickaxe.

I apologize for the delay.
My issue is unrelated to the Skulk Sensors; I had not needed include that part.
Players can audibly hear the droppers even though wool may be present within the machine.
I had made a redstone furnace machine with droppers to move all the items, while in creative (play testing for making in a survival world) and it had been really loud. I had been under the impression that if I encase it in Wool, this would prevent the sounds from being heard on the other side of the wool. It had upset me that once I had made a wool box around the machine, that the sounds were still as visible as if the wool wasn't there. This was a pretty large build with 12 Redstone Comparators, 12 Redstone Torches, 25 Droppers, and 6 Hoppers.
Please either attach a video, or export and attach the world that contains the described Redstone construction.

Bartlomiej: the details of the redstone are irrelevant. The reporter has clarified that they mean wool does not stop players from hearing sounds.
The skulk and warden โsoundโ detection system are referred to as โvibrationsโ and โvibration listeningโ in the vanilla behavior components and in recent changelogs. I think this is meant to distinguish these behaviors from the audible sounds that players hear.
@GoldenHelmet
Could you please clarify what the fix for this is? The sounds emitted from these blocks should not be able to be heard by other players when intentionally creating the build to not be heard by other players.
Quinn Fox:
The report is not resolved. It is up to Mojang what they want to do on this issue. I expect this report will be resolved Working as Intended because I don't think the developers ever intended to have a building mechanic that would allow one player to stop other players from hearing sounds. I can make a test world as asked for by Bartlomiej and confirm the report to hopefully speed up the process.

Is the problem you are having that the droppers activate skulk sensors, or that players can audibly hear the droppers?
