When you are getting any sherds before you get the bricks first, the decorated pot recipe doesn't unlock and appear in the toast screen and the recipe book.
Step to Reproduce
Enable the "Recipe Unlock" experimental when creating new world.
Get any sherds.
See if the recipe unlocks the decorated pot recipe.
Observed Result
The decorated pot recipe doesn't get unlock and shown in the toast screen and the recipe book when getting any sherds before brick first.

The decorated pot recipe should get unlock and shown in the toast screen and the recipe book when getting any sherds before brick first.

Still present in 1.80.2
Even once the recipe is unlocked if you put decorated sherds in your inventory the pot recipe does not show. The sherds have to be placed (this might be intended though as there would be too many recipe options including all the decorated ones). But at least the recipe should show if you have decorated sherds in your inventory (and no bricks)
