Coral Blocks will not place unless there is a block under it

When placing coral blocks (both survival and creative) you cannot place a coral block on the side of any block. Coral blocks can only be placed on the top of other blocks.

Confirmed. You can only stack coral on top of another block. Now I have coral henge.

Coral blocks are able to be placed on some partial blocks, such as a top slab, or a closed top trapdoor. check video up top.
