When traveling underwater, I came across those odd air patches with grass and flowers. It happens frequently. Also, even tho it's not the same issue, I checked a lot of ocean ruins and I did not find sniffer egg in sussy sand.

Yeah but you're not on the same version nor the same edition. May be it's world corruption I don't know but the other fact is that I cannot find any sniffer egg in warm ocean ruin.

I recreated the same seed and same block coordinates in world but unfortunately same nothing reproduce in 1.20.20.23 Preview, Here is a exported world:
