After the update v1.20.30 I loaded my world and the entire chunk where I appeared seemed to have vanished. This caused me to freefall below bedrock and die in the void.
Reloading after death places me at world spawn 0, 0. This seems to confirm that the bed used in that chunk (-1368, -3192) is now gone.

The attached files are not the whole world save. You would need to put those in zip folder along with the \db folder and all of its contents.
However, this sounds like a case of data corruption and there is likely no way to restore the lost data.
The save was too big to attach. Here is a link to the loose files and world file.

The second drive link has restricted access, you can publish the second link for all users to share another world
We are tracking this issue at MCPE-150757, so I am resolving this report as a duplicate.
I can now confirm that the chunk had vanished (trail ruins) also 2 others nearby. Also terrain to one side has completely regenerated. (It's now an ocean instead of a jungle)
I have a small video showing what has happened.

With the latest update this problem has occurred again. (june 2024 This maybe due to data corruption as the world is 7 years old.
I've noticed that this happens near where new terrain appears. When I quit and restart the game some terrain is changed in already explored chunks. The chunk with the player is always deleted including bedrock.
This time the game crashed my entire pc so i was ready with a screen recorder and world copy.
Very large pieces disappeared, and if I fall, I die because I left the world.
