It would be very helpful if any of the affected users, or the reporter uploaded an example corrupted world to the bug or to any shareable site and link it here. We were not able to reproduce the issue.Â

I have seen this happen to people when their device crashed/ bluescreen on Windows or ran out of RAM. Has not happened to me personally but the bug exists.
If you have a copy of the world available, you might like to upload a copy of it for investigation.
On Windows you can use the Export world feature.
On Android or iOS you need to use a file explorer to navigate to Device storage > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds
On Xbox or Switch the only way is to upload it to a Realm, and then download the world on Windows 10 or Android/iOS. (Please do not purchase a Realms subscription just to provide a world to us - but if you have a Realm already this may be a viable option if you wish to do so.)
Here are the steps to copy a world save on PlayStation:
Make sure your BLANK USB stick has been formatted to FAT32
On your PlayStation, go to Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Copy to USB Storage Device > Select Minecraft > Select Saved World to copy > Copy
This should then copy the world save to the USB, which you can share to a file sharing site such as OneDrive, and then share the link.
If the world is larger than 10MB you can upload the world to OneDrive or a similar file sharing site, and then share the link.

I've experienced this and made a ticket but was directed to here. I don't think this is resolved. My issue just happened. Nothing was suspicious. I've explored this path a few times. Upon my return, a chunk is gone. It is right in the middle of a river. It is not a visual glitch since I fell right through to the void and died. This never happened on this world before.Â
Â
Edit: To clarify. I received no corruption message of any kind. Nothing suspicious. It quite literally appeared out of no where. The chunk is just, gone..Â

Here's a copy of my world that has the missing chunks problem
wooooo - glitched chunks.mcworld
I'm also not sure why everyone with this same issue have their issues marked as resolved, when I don't see anywhere that has any kind of resolution on this page (to which I was redirected) or my issue page?Â

A newly affected world has been provided in duplicate report MCPE-175356.

yes it also happened to me

Mine was different a screen showed up and say "Your world was corrupted pls reopen or play the backup" then I reopen it, I thought nothing happened so I went building a skeleton farm but when I went to my house to get some iron, It was different my house was gone but no chunks were deleted just my house and my storage room and my mining area, it just went to its original like I never explored it. So I went to the minecraft folder and to my world folder and I press the Db folder and I saw a "Lost" folder

Will the be fixed soon or will we have to keep using these risky online tutorials to try and fix it?
