PlayStation can't join multiplayer worlds, featured servers, or Realms

I also have this problem

i am using ps4 with a PlayStation plus subscription 

but for some reason I can play servers on a different psn account and not on the account that I used to update minecraft all other profiles I’ve tested works but the one I use doesn’t 

I am able to play every other game online 

I am also unable to join any multiplayer worlds including normal invites to a friends world or realms the only thing that I can play is survival single player world 

I’ve tried deleting all cache and uninstalling the game deleting all the saved data off my PlayStation and re-downloading it 

I’ve also tried deleting my whole psn profile and creating another profile but signing in with the account that was affected and still no luck 

Also experiencing this issue, details for you:

I am able to play other online games and use online apps like streaming services

I am on PS5

I have an active PS Plus subscription

I will note that I am also unable to see LAN games anymore on the PS5 Minecraft. I was able to the day before the update.

I don't seem to have these issues in the windows version.

I am also able to play all other online games however the only thing i

can do on Minecraft is single player survival but I am unable to join multiplayer worlds.  I am playing on a Ps5 and have an active PlayStation plus subscription. 

I am on PS4, with no active Playstation Plus subscription. I can play other online games that don't require plus.

I have also noticed that when you go into your Minecraft storage through settings... none of the previously downloaded multiplayer content is still there. And when i click on the specific server or multiplayer game I want to join, its like it refuses to redownload that server's data and content. Before the 2.78 update I had multiple downloads that were related to the featured Hive server and now it's all gone. None of it is corrupt data though so it's definitely a bug caused by the 2.78 update.

Since mid-september, some players have been able to join multiplayer games without a PlayStation+ subscription. I assume the last update (1.20.50) patched the issue.

What's interesting though, is that it is affecting those who do have a PlayStation+ subscription.

I can confirm many players I know are having this exact issue. It is not due to ps plus, subscriptions, wifi or anything like that as I am on ps4 with ps plus and able to join things perfectly fine
i have tested with players having the connecting issue and they still have issues but I don’t, it seems random players were affected 

I can play other online games 
Not a  PlayStation plus member, I have two friends one is and  one isn’t ,both can still play 
ps5

Can we get an idea on how long it might take to repair this bug?

As mentioned in the Bug Tracker FAQ, we cannot generally provide a time estimate for when a bug will be fixed. Please "watch" this bug though, in case any workarounds are provided.

On ps4 pro no plus can play other online games, lan play with my PC was working just fine till 2.78.

Got my ps5 a week ago, bought the game days ago, was able to play until patch, no PlayStation plus, can play other games,

I am able to play on servers and host a world on mobile when I log in with my Microsoft account. However, I am unable to host multiplayer, join friends or join servers on PlayStation4. It’s been like this since 1.20.50 rolled out.

Free online weekend for those who don’t have PS Plus. Minecraft now seems to be working (for me at least). Unsure if it has to do with PS+ or Minecraft updated it.

Multiplayer works for me now!
