Improved in 1.20.5-pre1. Remaining cases are from carvers (not noise caves), and are considered Won't fix status.

Trial chambers can generate exposed to the air, relates to MCPE-146753.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a new world using the given seed.

  2. Teleport to the given coordinates.

Observed Results:
Trial chambers can generate exposed to the air.

Expected Results:
Trial chambers shouldn't generate exposed to the air.

Can confirm.

Also same affects with android.

I did confirm at same identical air exposure with a same seed.

Despite the following quote has been mentioned in the 1.21.0.21 changelog, this is still an issue in 1.21.0.21 (for carver caves I think).

Trial Chambers are now more consistently buried by terrain when found underground


Added another instance where a trial chambers intersected a canyon.

The blocks that the trial chambers cover themselves with should also generate additional blocks to try to blend with the caves to make the cave seem to 'end' and not just cut it off.
