Original description:
In any world where the player has already built some structures (I couldn't recreate this issue in brand new worlds), trying to enter the Nether takes at least 25-30 seconds, regardless if it still needs to be generated, or if the player has returned to the overworld from it a few seconds earlier.
Updated Description:
Steps to reproduce this issue:
Grab obsidian, and flint and steel
Then, build a portal of obsidian, and then, activate the portal
Expected result:
In nintendo swich the nether portal when entering inside will require not long time to load the nether
Actual result:
In nintendo swich the nether portal when entering inside will require long time to be loaded the nether

It half-deacribes it, because on top of weird game behavior there's also the fact that it takes half a minute to load the Nether, whereas the overworld takes the usual 3-5 seconds... The issue you mentioned doesn't seem to have the same problem with loading times
