Inconsistencies in the Portuguese (Portugal) translations

The portuguese translation of the game has some inconsistencies for the names given to certain items. Those are:

  • "Terracota Laranja", "Vela Laranja" and "Pacote Laranja", when all the items that have color variations use "Cor de Laranja", for example "Cama Cor de Laranja". In this case, the prefix "Laranja" should be replaced by "Cor de Laranja".

  • "Espada de Netherite", when the other tools and armors use "do Nether". for example "Picareta do Nether". In this case, the prefix "de Netherite" should replace "do Nether", because "do Nether" means "from the nether" instead of "Netherite".

I could confirm, Reproduceable in latest preview

Here is a more detailed version of the translated to “Netherite”.

The table below shows the current translation of “Netherite” across all strings of the game:

“do Nether”

“Netherite”/”de Netherite”

item.netherite_ingot.name
item.netherite_pickaxe.name
item.netherite_axe.name
item.netherite_shovel.name
item.netherite_hoe.name
item.netherite_leggings.name
item.netherite_boots.name
item.netherite_chestplate.name
item.netherite_helmet.name
tile.netherite_block.name

howtoplay.beacons.text.3
howtoplay.beacons.text.6
howtoplay.tools.text.1
howtoplay.weapons.text.1
item.netherite_scrap.name
item.netherite_sword.name
container.smithing_table.material_slot_tooltip_netherite
howtoplay.smithing_table.text.2
howtoplay.smithing_table.text.5
item.smithing_template.netherite_upgrade.ingredients
item.netherite_upgrade_smithing_template.name
trim_material.netherite.name

The better translation in this case is “Netherite”/”de Netherite”, as the translation “do Nether” means “from the Nether” instead of “Netherite”, so the translations that use “do Nether” do be changed so they use “Netherite”.

Below is a table showing the translation key, the current translation and the suggest translation. Also, “item.netherite_chestplate.name” uses the wrong word for translating “chestplate”:

The translations relating to netherite, with the exception of the netherite chestplate, have been fixed in the latest beta/preview.

All the other translations of ”chestplate” translate them into “couraça”, meaning that the current translation of “netherite chestplate” is inconsistent with the other translations.
